Paula Anne Gallant’s 100th
Day Ceremony
On behalf of
Each year, as
an educator, Paula celebrated with her students, the “100 days of school”
milestone. It is a way to
engage the students in activities and lessons that provide opportunities for
them to practice math and sharpen their observational skills.
She would encourage her students to gather 100 items and bring them
to the classroom for a day of fun and learning.
As we gather
here today, on the hundredth day of her death, may we reflect on our
memories of Paula and ask that God bless us with continued strength, courage
and hope. May he hear our
prayers for justice and may he allow us to someday have closure on this
horrific tragedy and one day feel solace in our souls.
Please begin to light Paula’s 100
candles of Hope, Justice and Peace.

Paula
When day is finally ended
And the sun has again been placed,
We will remember your laughter
Once again, we will see your face.
For your presence will not be forgotten
Nor your gentle loving way,
Forever will your beautiful spirit
Guide us on your way.
On this earth each one is placed
To serve a greater end,
To carry on without you here
Is our burden, dear friend.
So speak to us in whispers
Found in the morning breeze,
Remind us of your passion
For all that you did see.
Reach out your hand to touch ours
In your grasp please hold it tight,
Gentle guide us in our journey
Walk us out into the light.
Please begin to read our 100 prayers
for Paula. We will read the
next 10 prayers 10 times starting with the first prayer and reading in order
to the last and then starting from the first prayer again.
Dear Paula, please see
the light of these 100 candles burning and know we love you, are proud of
your strength and pray for you.
Please, with God’s help, guide the police to the truth and give us the “gift
of Anna”. Amen

Our Father, Who art in
heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our
daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death. Amen

Lord, make me an
instrument of your peace;
Where there is hatred,
let me sow love;
when there is injury,
pardon;
where there is doubt,
faith;
where there is despair,
hope;
where there is
darkness, light;
and where there is
sadness, joy.
Grant that I may not so
much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood, as to understand,
to be loved as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Angel of God, my
Guardian dear,
To whom God's love
commits me here,
Ever this day be at my side
To light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen

St. Therese, the Little
Flower,
Please pick me a Rose
form the
And send it to me with
a message of Love.
Ask God to grant me the
favor I Thee implore and tell Him
I will Love Him each
day more and more. Amen

O God, who has taught
the hearts of the faithful by the light of the
Holy Spirit, grant that by the gift of the same Spirit we may be always
truly wise and ever rejoice in his consolation, through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

May the road rise up to
meet you,
May the wind be always
at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
And the rains fall soft upon your fields,
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Closing Poem
read by Lana Kenny
In closing, we remember a life today and all that made her who she was –
All that delighted her,
That made her laugh or moved her to tears,
Calling to mind her story,
And the many lives she touched along the way.
We honor a life today – her outlook,
Her inner strength and all the things that she believed in –
Recognizing her goodness,
Her uniqueness, her own special gifts shared generously
With the rest of the world.
We celebrate a life today and her connections with family and friends
And all who loved her –
Feeling enriched for having known her, for the way
……. she affected us
….…..inspired us
…..…and affirmed for us that this is how a beautiful life should be lived.
Let us release these 100 messages of
hope into the beautiful skies of St. Margaret’s Bay so the world, God, Paula
and all those who have died before us will hear our prayers of hope, justice
and peace. God Bless you all
and thank you for sharing in Paula’s 100th day.
